About Pastor Johnson

Pastor T.C. Johnson is the son of the late Helen Fuller and the late L.C. Johnson. He is also the grandson of the late Joe Cephas and Mary Fuller. He was born and reared in rural Pike County, Alabama, where he attended public school and is a 1971 graduate of Goshen High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1972 and served his country for over 21 years. During his military career, he received numerous recommendations, awards and decorations, which include: seven Good Conduct Medals, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the German Army Missile Award, and Instructor of the Year Award. His distinguished service record was
acknowledged when he was awarded the distinguished "Legion of Merit." He was also inducted into the
Historical and Prestigious Sergeant Morales Leadership Club with lifetime membership.

Pastor Johnson is an esteemed veteran, retiring active duty on July 1, 1994, as the Command Sergeant Major of the 87th Corps Support Battalion, 24th Infantry Mechanized Division of Ft. Stewart, Georgia. His civilian education includes: Courses of study in Ancient History and Bible Literature at Maryland University in Europe; Philosophy and Music at St. Leo College; Psychology, Social Problems at Hopkinsville College; and Sociology at Hartfort College. He is a graduate of Athens University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Religion; and a graduate of Beeson School of Divinity at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, receiving a Masters of Divinity.

Pastor Johnson is the father of three sons: Reginald Johnson; Keane (Claudine) Johnson and Tremayne Johnson; and the proud grandfather of four granddaughters, Kailyn, Levi, Karis and Troi; and one grandson, Reginald John-Wesley. Pastor Johnson is a beacon within the Huntsville community. He has worked tirelessly undergirding the citizens of Huntsville to ensure fair and equal treatment and opportunities for all citizens. His pursuit of economic justice and his exhilarating personality has radiated throughout the North Alabama community. Pastor Johnson began to serve St. Luke in 1983 and God has been with him in his leadership. Under the Hand of God, St. Luke has become a staple in the North Alabama. The church has an active relationship with the community and is known as an advocate for justice, a proponent for those in need, and a haven for those in distress. The charismatic and transparent spirit of Pastor Johnson has aided the church in drawing new believers, restoring those who have gotten sidetracked and reconciling those who have abandoned the way.
