ABOUT ST. LUKE
Mission Statement

Our mission is to develop knowledge about God and Jesus while providing opportunities for participation, explorations, and connections in, of, and among stories, lessons, and experiences for spiritual growth.

To Follow Christ, Fishing for men by “Teaching Word”; “Living Worship”; “Doing Work”; and “Sending Witness.”

The Mission of the Church was given to the apostles by Jesus Christ, the Head of His Church in Matthew 28:18-20: “And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, ‘All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.’” Amen.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide men, women, and children with the necessary tools for spiritual growth, found through the study of the Word of God.
We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and was buried; He descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communions of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
